The first order placed by the Neapolitan company was for a side-loading case packer that was fitted to an interfolded towel and toilet paper line. The second was for a dedicated high-performance line for hospital paper rolls production, while the third order was fitted downstream of a state-of-the-art interfolded towel and toilet paper line. A few months ago, testing was completed and the satisfaction was mutual. Three fully functional, high-tech, high-performance plants were built. These were all in line with Industry 4.0 principles, fully automatic and connected to the rest of the plant. The challenge was to make the machines flexible and versatile as well as high-performing and efficient. The unit dedicated to the secondary packaging of hospital paper rolls can work with three different formats. The same applies to the interfolded product packaging machines, which can handle interfolded towels and toilet paper. All this has been achieved without sacrificing performance. The hospital paper roll case packer can handle up to 70 products per minute, while the units for interfolded products can handle up to 120 packs of interfolded toilet paper per minute or 80 packs of interfolded towels per minute.
When it comes to sustainability, Microline is committed to playing a frontline role. This is why we manufacture machines that do not produce trimmings, resulting in material savings of between 20% and 30% compared to our competitors and optimised energy consumption.
AL80 and FAST WRAP1250 spearhead Microline’s production range for paper roll packaging. The machines offer a continuous operating cycle, which ensures higher performance, lower energy consumption and better efficiency for optimum management of different product sizes.
The complete shutdown of businesses in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has gradually led to raw material shortages and rising energy costs. So, in these unprecedented times, companies desperately need sustainable solutions capable of saving available resources, whilst avoiding unnecessary wastage. Microline’s new AFH roll bundler is the ideal solution
With its firm commitment to sustainability, Microline manufactures machinery that affords significant waste reduction and optimised energy consumption. Microline also believes strongly in the use of new environmentally-sustainable materials. For this reason, it has partnered with Slovenian company Di Mucci d.o.o.
Microline is a hi-tech business capable of adapting its solutions to suit every single customer’s needs. Indeed, the company’s latest offerings are the result of careful analysis that has considered both market requirements and end-consumer needs. An example is the Fast Wrap 1250.
Developed to meet Tissue industry requirements, ECO WRAP 1050 is one of the latest additions to the Microline range of versatile, user-friendly bundlers. ECO Wrap is a bundler capable of using various types of plastic film as the wrapping material, thus avoiding wastage of materials and energy.
