Scheduled maintenance: why it is so important

Scheduled maintenance consists of a series of planned preventive activities carried out on machines to ensure their efficiency, safety and long-term duration. These activities are carried out according to a predefined programme based on the data collected in over 20 years in the business. The main aim of scheduled maintenance is to prevent problems, reduce the risk of malfunctions and prolong the service life of the parts requiring maintenance.

Scheduled maintenance can include various operations, such as regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, calibration and the preventive replacement of parts. These activities are carried out according to a predefined plan that takes into account operating time and the technical specifications of the machine in question.

The aim of implementing scheduled maintenance is to maximise operational efficiency and minimise unplanned downtimes.
