Microline automatic flow wrappers epitomise the quality and attention to detail that have always been a distinguishing feature of products manufactured by the company from Bologna. Over the years, Microline has developed various horizontal packaging solutions in response to customer requirements, the standout example being the FLOW WRAP 1000: a multi-pack bundler for AFH rolls. One of the first in this market segment under the total control of a servo-motor system, this machine can pack up to 18 bags per minute without the need for a heat-shrink tunnel. The rolls coming from the saw are fed to the machine by a system of conveyors that orient and convey them inside the machine in multiple rows; then they are counted and arranged according to the desired configuration. Once selected, the rolls are placed in the bag that is then sealed by cutting the film crosswise and folding the flaps inside the bag. In addition to the touch screen enabling the operator to quickly perform collation changeover or modify general machine functions, FLOW WRAP offers the additional benefit of reduced packaging material and energy consumption.
